NEVER
VOLUNTEER!
What
never? Well, actually, sometimes it is worth being a volunteer
- a volunteer Club Site Warden
Legislation,
especially the ‘minimum wage bill’ and ‘restriction
of working hours’, have affected the viability of several
Sites in the Club network. Some of these borderline Sites are
in our Region.
The Central Region and the Welsh Regions have formed Volunteer
Warden teams which have been successful in keeping Club Sites
open that would otherwise have been closed.
The
Northern Region would like to form a team of Volunteer Wardens.
Volunteers
will receive training and a uniform and whilst on site they will
have a free pitch and electricity.
To
form the Northern Region ‘team’ we first need the
names of Members who are prepared to consider being Volunteers.
Once we have a list of names the Club will meet us and fully explain
what is involved. Individuals can then decide if they want to
continue and receive training as Volunteer Wardens.
What
are you waiting for? Add your name to the list.
Contact
any Committee member of any Centre in the Northern Region
– the committee member will ensure that your
name is added to the list.
